People & Culture Business Partner – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

Fonterra is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner on a six‑month fixed‑term basis to support its manufacturing sites in the lower South Island. In this strategic role you will translate the people strategy into actionable workforce planning and capability‑building initiatives that align with business priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders at the Edendale and Stirling sites to embed workforce planning and capability development.
• Influence strategic thinking, drive high‑performance culture and lead change initiatives.
• Design and deliver people solutions that address business challenges and improve engagement.
• Coach and advise managers on talent, performance and organisational effectiveness.
• Travel regularly between sites to ensure consistent implementation of HR programmes.

Required profile

• Strategic thinker with strong business insight and a passion for enabling performance.
• Experience in strategic workforce planning at scale or equivalent organisational strategy delivery.
• Background working in unionised environments and delivering high‑performance practices.
• Data‑driven, outcomes‑focused with strong influencing and partnership skills.
• Ability to translate strategy into practical frameworks and tools.
