People & Culture Advisor

About the role

Rocket Lab’s People & Culture team is looking for a proactive HR professional to own employee‑relations (ER) processes end‑to‑end and support the employee lifecycle across a fast‑moving, global environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead ER matters from initiation to resolution, applying best‑practice judgment even in complex or ambiguous situations.
• Provide first‑line generalist HR advice on hiring, performance, attendance, change management and off‑boarding.
• Respond promptly and confidentially to employee queries.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with leaders, employees and external service providers.
• Contribute to People & Culture projects and initiatives.
• Support payroll processing for new starters, employment variations, terminations and pay‑run reviews to ensure accurate cycles.
• Apply pragmatic, creative solutions when established processes are lacking.
