About the role
The Partnership and Outreach Lead will grow engagement and increase referrals into the Ready Steady Quit service. This role focuses on building strong community and business partnerships, developing referral pathways, delivering workshops, and supporting champions within organisations to refer smokers into support.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain community, business, and organisational partnerships.
- Develop and support referral "champions" within partner organisations.
- Deliver workshops and smokefree education sessions to groups and individuals.
- Increase referrals into the Ready Steady Quit service.
- Provide one‑on‑one and group smokefree support to whānau.
- Promote smokefree messaging across the community.
Required profile
- Experience in community engagement, outreach, health promotion, or partnership roles.
- Confidence delivering workshops or group sessions.
- Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
- Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to equity.
- Experience working with Māori, Pasifika, and diverse communities.
- Motivational interviewing or behaviour‑change skills (desirable).
- Must be a non‑smoker with a full, clean NZ driver’s licence.
- Ability to work in community settings and travel locally.
