About the role
Bailey Nelson is recruiting a part-time Optical Assistant for its brand-new Nelson store, set to open in November 2026. The role sits at the heart of the customer experience, helping people find their perfect frames and supporting their eyecare needs.
Key responsibilities
- Help customers find their perfect frames
- Support customers' eyecare needs
- Deliver a memorable experience at every visit
Required profile
- Experience in retail, hospitality or a similar field, with a customer-first mindset
- Optical experience is a plus but not required; the company will teach those keen to learn
- Positive, enthusiastic and adaptable to a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Availability to work across Thursday to Monday
- Reliable and able to support the team during peak trading periods
