Organisational Development Advisor

About the role
The Organisational Development (OD) team at the University of Auckland is expanding its capability agenda to drive workforce sustainability and long‑term impact. As an OD Advisor you will translate strategic objectives into practical programmes, supporting the delivery and embedding of capability initiatives across the university.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret OD strategy and design effective delivery plans.
- Support, coordinate and manage OD projects from planning through to completion.
- Facilitate learning sessions, workshops and group discussions.
- Use data and insights to inform decision‑making and programme design.
- Develop tools, resources and materials that enhance the employee experience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure initiatives are embedded and sustainable.
Required profile
- Relevant degree and at least 3 years of experience in learning, OD, HR or training design and delivery.
- Proven track record of supporting organisational development or learning initiatives.
- Ability to work in a complex, highly federated environment and build effective relationships.
- Strong advisory judgement and a practical, results‑oriented approach.
Required skills
- Strong coordination and organisational abilities, managing multiple tasks and timelines.
- Confidence using data or information to guide decisions and delivery.
- Excellent relationship‑building and collaborative working style.
What we offer
- Full‑time position (37.5 hours per week).
- Salary range of NZD 73,400 – 99,400 per year, dependent on skills and experience.
