Operations Consultant - QSR Portfolio

About the role

An established restaurant business is looking for an experienced QSR or multi-site hospitality leader to oversee a group of six Auckland restaurants. The consultant works through the Restaurant Managers to develop capable leaders, improve sales and profitability and deliver consistent customer experiences. The role is permanent and full time, based in South Auckland, though portfolio allocation may change. It covers six restaurants and requires a full New Zealand driver's licence and flexibility to visit restaurants during peak trading, weekends and overnight.

Key responsibilities

• Set clear expectations, understand each restaurant's challenges and follow agreed actions through to completion
• Improve sales and profit through clear restaurant performance plans
• Coach managers to lead their teams confidently and take ownership of results
• Strengthen staffing, retention and succession across the portfolio
• Maintain food quality, service, cleanliness, food safety and workplace safety standards
• Deliver promotions, new products and operational initiatives consistently
• Own monthly projections using sales, customer numbers, margin and labour performance
• Be regularly in the restaurants observing service and checking that improvements work

Required profile

• Sustained leadership experience in a comparable, high-volume QSR business, or a proven record managing multiple hospitality sites
• Managers developed and commercial results improved
• Understanding of how labour deployment, food costs and service execution affect profitability
• Ability to build trust, give direct constructive feedback and hold people accountable
• Comfortable working within established operating systems
