Occupational Health Nurse

About the role
Silver Fern Farms in Te Aroha is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to deliver occupational health services for its workforce. You will provide first‑line injury treatment, rehabilitation, injury management and health monitoring to ensure injured employees return to full health quickly and safely.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver first‑line treatment for workplace injuries and coordinate rehabilitation plans.
- Manage injury cases, monitor health status and ensure compliance with ACC accredited employer programme.
- Conduct health monitoring, drug testing (or obtain certification) and maintain accurate records.
- Follow legislative, company policies and procedural requirements at all times.
- Provide advice and support to managers and staff on occupational health matters.
Required profile
- Registered Nurse, Comprehensive Nurse or Enrolled Nurse qualification.
- Relevant nursing experience, particularly in occupational health or injury management.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Reliable, honest and able to interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Willingness to obtain or hold a drug‑testing certification.
Required skills
- Drug testing certification (or willingness to obtain).
