Night Auditor

About the role

Join Novotel Wellington’s Night Team as a Night Auditor, ensuring smooth overnight operations and exceptional guest experiences. You will work the night shift, handling check‑ins, check‑outs, and financial reconciliations while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome late arrivals and early departures, managing check‑in/out procedures.
• Perform nightly balancing, system backups, and generate audit reports using Opera PMS.
• Act as Night Manager when required, overseeing room service, porter services, security checks, and guest safety.
• Manage room availability, resolve overbooking or relocation issues, and ensure accurate reservations and billing.
• Maintain clean public areas during the night and support Front Office reporting.

Required profile

• Calm under pressure and able to take initiative.
• Available for overnight shifts on a rotating roster.
• Hold an LCQ qualification and a current GM Certificate or be able to obtain one (LCQ + 3 months supervisory experience in a licensed NZ premises).
• Previous supervisory experience in Front Office operations.
• New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or holder of a valid work visa (no sponsorship).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Opera Cloud PMS (preferred).
