Mid-level Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

Xe is rebuilding the platform layer behind cross‑border payments for corporate and consumer clients. We are looking for a mid‑level full‑stack engineer who can own problems end‑to‑end, from API design and frontend experience to backend services, reliability, and launch.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship features that move money and manage multi‑currency balances across onboarding, KYC/KYB, payment initiation, FX, settlement and related services.
• Develop customer‑facing features, handling everything from UI to the supporting backend services.
• Own production services, ensuring reliability, observability, on‑call duties and incident response.
• Collaborate with product, design and compliance teams from problem framing through launch.
• Use agentic coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) daily for prototyping, refactoring, testing and documentation.
• Help modernize legacy services by migrating them to the new stack alongside architects and team leads.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience building production web applications end‑to‑end.
• Strong frontend proficiency with Vue.js, React or equivalent frameworks.
• Solid backend experience, preferably with C#/.NET; Java, Kotlin, Go or other OOP languages are also acceptable.
• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and operating services on AWS (SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda).
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests as part of the delivery process.
• Effective communication and collaboration across engineering, product and design.
