Marketing Coordinator

About the role

The Marketing Coordinator will join the University of Otago’s Marketing Services team to help shape how the university connects with prospective students. You will work on real campaigns from day one, collaborating with Marketing Specialists and Advisers across digital, social and traditional channels.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and measure marketing campaigns that attract future students.
• Coordinate campaign activities, ensuring timelines and assets are managed effectively.
• Manage marketing materials and maintain brand consistency across all channels.
• Track performance metrics and report insights to optimise future activities.
• Contribute creative ideas and support the wider marketing team.

Required profile

• Early‑career marketer who is organised, proactive and eager to learn.
• 1–3 years experience supporting marketing campaigns (exceptional graduates considered).
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to get involved across the team.
• Energy, curiosity and a drive to build a marketing career.
• Cultural competency and knowledge of Māori or Pacific markets is an advantage.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of digital marketing tools.
• Familiarity with social media platforms.
• Experience with marketing analytics and campaign tracking.

• Salary range $69,931–$74,609 (top of range $80,285) per year.
