Marketing Communications Advisor

About the role

Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering impactful marketing communications that support Watercare’s brand strategy and customer‑engagement objectives. This fixed‑term position (6 months) covers maternity leave and offers the chance to shape how customers and stakeholders connect with essential water services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement multi‑channel campaigns that build emotional connection and trust with customers.
• Create and execute communications plans for customer‑impacting projects such as price changes.
• Lead behaviour‑change initiatives encouraging water‑wise habits.
• Plan, write and publish a variety of collateral including newsletters, brochures, flyers, letters, posters, advertisements, and digital content.
• Manage and maintain customer‑facing collateral and touchpoints.
• Write and distribute customer newsletters and update website content.
• Support investor‑relations communications in collaboration with the Finance team.
• Champion the Watercare brand across all communications.

Required profile

• A tertiary qualification in communications, marketing or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of communications experience, including senior‑level responsibilities.
• Proven success delivering multi‑channel campaigns and working with creative agencies.
• Strong writing ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences and channels.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• High level of organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Experience with marketing automation platforms such as Marketo.
