Manager Operational Risk

About the role

As a Manager, Operational Risk & Resilience in ANZ New Zealand, you will help the organisation identify, assess and manage operational risk and resilience across services, processes, people, data, suppliers and other key dependencies. You will act as a trusted first‑line risk partner, providing practical advice and constructive challenge to strengthen business ownership and risk capability.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of operational risk and resilience frameworks, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate risk and resilience assessments, identifying gaps in controls, plans and risk treatments.
• Analyse incidents, issues and risk information to spot emerging risks, trends and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare clear reporting and insights, supporting governance, capability development and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Sound knowledge of operational risk and resilience frameworks, controls and risk management practices.
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders to provide practical risk advice and constructive challenge.
• Ability to interpret regulatory, policy and framework requirements and support their practical implementation.
• Strong analytical, communication and reporting skills, turning complex information into clear recommendations.
• Ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders without direct authority.
