Manager Operational & Resilience Risk

About the role

The Manager Operational & Resilience Risk will support first‑line management of operational, resilience and emerging risks across ANZ. Working within the Operational & Resilience Risk Centre of Expertise, you will partner with business teams to embed controls, conduct risk assessments and contribute to regulatory change.

Key responsibilities

• Support operational and resilience risk assessments across processes, systems, data and end‑to‑end value chains.
• Assist business teams in designing, uplifting and embedding practical risk controls.
• Maintain registers and perform due‑diligence activities for material service providers.
• Contribute to model risk activities, including advice on model design, validation and safe use of algorithms, automation and AI.
• Support controls testing teams with validation activities related to models and controls.
• Coordinate regulatory and policy change initiatives, including impact assessments and implementation support.
• Review control design and effectiveness, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operational risk, resilience or related risk management functions.
• Strong understanding of model risk, validation processes and the safe use of AI/automation in decision‑making.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business partners and regulatory teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
