Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to join the engineering team at Pullman Auckland Airport. Reporting to the Director of Engineering and the Maintenance Supervisor, you will help keep the hotel’s building systems, plant equipment and fixtures operating safely and efficiently for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and HVAC systems throughout the property.
• Carry out daily plant inspections, report defects and ensure timely corrective action to minimise downtime.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and water reticulation systems.
• Complete scheduled tasks using the hotel’s Property Maintenance System and keep accurate records of all work performed.
• Support the protection and upkeep of hotel assets, ensuring all areas remain safe, functional and well‑presented.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, self‑sufficient individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience maintaining hotel fixtures, plant and equipment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual and able to accommodate flexible shift patterns.
