Loss Prevention Team Member – New Mitre 10 MEGA Store

About the role

Join the opening team of a brand‑new Mitre 10 MEGA store in Papamoa and help create a safe, secure environment for customers and staff. As a Loss Prevention Team Member you will work on reducing shrink, deterring theft and supporting overall store safety.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol high‑risk areas and monitor CCTV for suspicious behaviour.
• Support team members with de‑escalation and safe incident response.
• Complete incident reports, evidence logs and liaise with managers or police when required.
• Audit high‑risk processes such as refunds, high‑value item transactions and secured stock.
• Apply loss‑prevention safety protocols, including radio/duress procedures and escalation processes.

Required profile

• Strong observation and situational awareness with calm judgement.
• Clear, professional communication and accurate reporting skills.
• High integrity, discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
• Understanding of loss‑prevention procedures, legal considerations and safe escalation practices.
• Awareness of health‑and‑safety protocols for conflict management and emergencies.

Required skills

• Experience using CCTV systems.
• Familiarity with incident reporting tools and evidence handling processes.
