Locum Dentist – Christchurch & Canterbury

About the role

We are seeking qualified dentists to join our network of high‑demand practices across Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region on a locum basis. The role offers the flexibility to take short‑term or longer‑term assignments while working within well‑run clinics that provide a steady flow of patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general dental care to patients, including routine examinations, restorations and preventive treatments.
• Deliver emergency dental services as required, managing acute cases independently.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to the clinic’s infection‑control and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the practice team to ensure smooth patient flow and high standards of care.

Required profile

• Qualified dentist registered, or eligible for registration, with the Dental Council of New Zealand.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) or ability to obtain one.
• Strong foundation in general dentistry.
• Confident, adaptable and patient‑focused.
