Legal Executive – Property & Conveyancing

About the role
This position supports housing outcomes for whānau across Aotearoa by managing a broad range of property‑related legal matters. You will work alongside experienced lawyers and internal teams to deliver high‑volume transactions and complex projects.
Key responsibilities
- Manage conveyancing transactions, subdivisions, title clearing and due‑diligence investigations.
- Prepare and review contracts and agreements, resolving documentation issues.
- Support statutory obligations such as Rights of First Refusal and Public Works Act requirements.
- Maintain accurate property records and contribute to system improvements and document automation.
- Collaborate with Legal Counsel, Associate General Counsel – Property, Land Advisory, Development and Finance teams.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external providers.
Required profile
- NZLS Legal Executive Diploma.
- Proven experience in property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals and land subdivision.
- Strong knowledge of conveyancing processes and legal documentation.
- Excellent organisational, workload management and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail, integrity and professional judgement.
- Proactive, flexible and capable of solving problems in a fast‑paced environment.
