Lecturer – Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy

About the role

CQUniversity’s College of Health Sciences is seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join its growing physiotherapy discipline as a Lecturer in Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy. The role combines teaching, clinical supervision and research, offering a pathway for senior clinicians to transition into higher education.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver profession‑specific units across two teaching terms each year.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in classroom and clinical environments.
• Contribute to curriculum design and continuous improvement of the physiotherapy program.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with hospitals, health services and industry stakeholders.
• Conduct and publish research in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and related fields.
• Participate in departmental service, including academic committees and community engagement.

Required profile

• Registered physiotherapist with extensive clinical experience in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor students at tertiary level.
• Evidence of research activity or a clear research agenda.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with industry and health partners.
• Commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional development.
