Learning & Development Coordinator (Part‑time)

About the role

Veolia NZ is seeking a friendly, organised professional to join its HR team as a Learning & Development Coordinator on a part‑time basis (3 days per week). You will be the central point for coordinating L&D programmes, managing training initiatives and supporting managers and employees to reach their potential.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and facilitate in‑house training sessions that align with business needs.
• Manage the Learning Management System, ensuring compliance training is up‑to‑date and accurately recorded.
• Organise career events, talent initiatives and succession‑planning activities.
• Collaborate with the Australian L&D team to share best practices and maintain consistency.
• Support recruitment by screening candidates, coordinating reference checks and pre‑employment medicals.
• Deliver smooth onboarding experiences, including IT setup and manager training.
• Maintain accurate training records, track compliance reporting and assist with HR projects.

Required profile

• Highly organised with strong communication skills.
• Passionate about supporting people’s development and learning.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive HR team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to compliance standards.

Required skills

• Experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS).
• Knowledge of compliance training processes and reporting.
• Proficiency in coordinating training logistics and events.
