Key Account Development Manager

About the role

Whakarongorau Aotearoa, a social enterprise providing virtual health and social services, is hiring a Key Account Development Manager in Wellington. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will build trusted relationships with priority customers, identify new opportunities and connect customer needs with the services and innovation the organisation can offer. You will work closely with executive leaders, operational teams and subject matter experts, and report to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain account plans for priority customer organisations
• Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers
• Identify, assess and progress opportunities for service expansion, new offerings and strategic partnerships
• Lead procurement activity, including proposals, tenders and funding opportunities
• Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and support them from concept to implementation
• Gather and share customer, market and sector intelligence
• Coordinate engagement across commercial, operational, clinical and digital teams

Required profile

• Background in account management, business development, partnership management, commercial development or a related field
• Experience with government agencies, health organisations or other complex stakeholder environments
• Proven track record of identifying and progressing growth opportunities
• Experience supporting proposals, tenders, procurement or commercial initiatives
• Proven ability to build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships
• Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
