IT Support Engineer – Service Desk

About the role

Join our dynamic National Service Desk team based in Christchurch. You will provide remote Level 1 and Level 2 support across phone, chat, email and remote assistance, serving education and commercial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Learn industry‑standard tools and processes while shadowing engineers across multiple disciplines.
• Develop foundational knowledge of primary products and services.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with all customers.
• Deliver quality outcomes and resolve incidents covering software, hardware and infrastructure.
• Manage incidents and service requests following ITIL processes.
• Support customers within defined service‑level agreements.

Required profile

• Strong customer service skills.
• Tertiary ICT/ITIL or computer qualifications.
• At least 3 years’ experience on a service desk or similar role.
• Ability to work collaboratively while taking responsibility for own work.
• Problem‑solving mindset and ownership of issues.
• Curiosity, initiative and a self‑starter attitude.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
