Support Engineer – Onsite IT Support

About the role

As an onsite Support Engineer you will represent Cyclone at customer locations, delivering L1 and L2 support for software, hardware and network issues. You will work primarily at a site in Christchurch while also assisting other clients, including government departments and local businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the friendly first point of contact for users on‑site.
• Respond to incidents and service requests, meeting defined SLAs.
• Handle escalations and manage problems through to resolution.
• Create and maintain site documentation and contribute to service reporting.
• Collaborate with the national service desk, senior engineers and account managers.

Required profile

• Strong customer service, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• 2+ years experience supporting networks, hardware and software.
• Tertiary ICT or computer qualifications, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a large team.
