iOS Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a senior iOS Engineer to join a high‑impact product team in New Zealand. You will work on a large‑scale iOS application used by millions, focusing on reliability, performance and an exceptional user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain production‑grade iOS applications using Swift, UIKit and SwiftUI.
• Deliver features through a continuous delivery approach, shipping incremental improvements.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and optimise client‑server communication.
• Work closely with product managers and designers to turn concepts into accessible, high‑quality mobile experiences.
• Write clean, maintainable code with unit and integration tests; contribute to test automation and code reviews.
• Participate in architectural discussions, define iOS development standards and mentor junior engineers.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experienced iOS engineer comfortable working independently and within a high‑performing product team.
• Strong understanding of mobile development best practices, software architecture and collaborative workflows.
• Proven ability to own features from concept to delivery and to communicate technical risks early.
