About the role

Level Electrical Rolleston is seeking an experienced Industrial & Commercial Electrician to join its high‑performing team in Rolleston, Canterbury. The role offers a varied day‑to‑day environment, working on industrial installations, commercial projects and automation systems while supporting the company’s commitment to safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform industrial and commercial electrical installations, including switchboards and motor control systems.
• Diagnose faults, respond to breakdowns and carry out preventative maintenance across multiple sites.
• Upgrade factories, commission and test new electrical systems.
• Work with PLC and automation equipment, or develop skills under experienced programmers.
• Read electrical drawings, complete job documentation and lead installation teams on selected projects.
• Mentor apprentices and junior electricians.

Required profile

• NZ‑registered electrician with a current practising licence.
• Proven experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical work.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Positive attitude and pride in delivering quality workmanship.
