Human Resources Advisor

About the role

The Human Resources Advisor will support day‑to‑day HR operations across Sanitarium’s Auckland manufacturing sites at Royal Oak and Rosebank. Reporting to the Site People & Culture Business Partner, you’ll provide practical HR advice, coordinate recruitment and onboarding, and help maintain HR systems. This part‑time (30 hrs/week) position offers flexible scheduling while requiring a strong on‑site presence to build relationships with leaders and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely, practical HR advice and support to leaders and employees.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities.
• Organise training sessions, maintain training records and support learning compliance.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems (Dayforce), ensuring documentation is current and compliant.
• Prepare HR reporting and analyse people metrics such as turnover, vacancies, absenteeism and training compliance.
• Support employee relations processes including performance, attendance, disciplinary actions and investigations.
• Assist with employee engagement, wellbeing and recognition initiatives.
• Contribute to organisational change projects, restructures and workforce transitions.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and the employee experience.

Required profile

• Confident, approachable HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships.
• Highly organised with a keen eye for detail in a busy operational environment.
• Proactive and collaborative, able to support leaders through various people processes.
• Experience in a generalist HR role, providing advice and coordinating HR activities.
