HR Coordinator – Permanent, Wellington

About the role

Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children is seeking two permanent HR Coordinators to join its HR Services team in Wellington. You will provide first‑tier HR advice and coordination across the end‑to‑end HR process, supporting both staff (kaimahi) and managers.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage HR workflows, offering guidance on policies and tools.
• Prepare offer letters, variation letters, and other employment documentation.
• Oversee the onboarding process for all new kaimahi.
• Deliver timely, quality advice to managers and employees via ServiceNow.
• Support HR coordination functions across recruitment, contracts, and employee relations.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in HR or a strong passion for entering the HR field.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and patience.
• High level of customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage a range of activities in a complex organisation.

Required skills

• Experience using ServiceNow or similar HR service platforms.
