HR Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team and work closely with senior leaders. In this role you will shape people strategies, support managers, and help drive business results across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to develop and execute a people plan aligned with the Agency People Strategy.
• Design and implement talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract top talent.
• Apply the Agency remuneration and reward framework to ensure consistency with business goals.
• Coach leaders on using the service delivery model and oversee effective HR operations.
• Provide guidance on complex employment relations cases and champion employee engagement.
• Collaborate with Learning and Organisational Development teams to design and deliver organisational and people plans.
• Identify skills gaps, develop learning solutions, and coach leaders to build capability.

Required profile

• A degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in HR generalist roles with strong knowledge of HR and organisational development principles.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities, with a track record of building relationships across business groups.
• Deep understanding of business needs and the ability to align HR strategies accordingly.
• Legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
