About the role

The Home Lending Manager leads the Branch & Home Lending team in Nelson/Tasman, guiding a group of home lenders to deliver seamless mortgage solutions. This role focuses on driving customer‑centric outcomes throughout the home‑buyer journey while supporting the team’s growth and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Champion the customer experience and ensure exceptional service at each stage of the home‑buyer journey.
• Drive personal banking home‑loan objectives, balancing workload and development opportunities.
• Manage the home‑loan pipeline, triaging deals to the most appropriate lender.
• Maintain loan quality through workshops, escalation handling, and quality assurance.
• Promote and implement broader home‑loan strategy, priorities, and change initiatives.
• Educate customers on banking options and encourage self‑service channel adoption.
• Develop lenders of all experience levels through coaching, training, and performance feedback.

Required profile

• Strong people‑leadership with proven ability to coach and develop experienced lenders.
• Demonstrated capability to create a customer‑centric culture and deliver high‑quality service.
• Advanced credit knowledge and appropriate CAD certification to support complex lending interactions.
