Heavy Diesel Technician

About the role

Keith Andrews Trucks, a New Zealand commercial vehicle dealer representing Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner and Fuso, is looking for a Heavy Diesel Technician to join its Hamilton workshop. You will keep customers' trucks and commercial vehicles running safely and efficiently by diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and completing servicing on heavy diesel vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults across diesel engines and vehicle systems
• Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
• Complete job documentation and maintain accurate service records
• Communicate with Service Advisors and customers about repairs
• Maintain a safe, clean and efficient workshop environment

Required profile

• Qualified Heavy Diesel / Automotive Technician
• Minimum 3 years' experience working with diesel engines or heavy vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety and workshop best practices
