Health & Safety Business Partner

About the role

Heritage Lifecare is seeking experienced Health & Safety Business Partners to support its aged‑care facilities across Christchurch and Wellington. In this senior‑level, multi‑site role you will act as a trusted advisor, helping operational leaders embed robust health and safety practices.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and mentor Care Home Managers, Village Managers and other leaders to strengthen safety capability and accountability.
• Translate strategic health‑safety priorities into practical, site‑level action plans.
• Support and embed organisational frameworks such as the Critical Risk Framework, Contractor Management Framework, Injury Management Framework, Safety Management System and Participation & Engagement Framework.
• Lead risk identification, workplace inspections, audits and assurance processes.
• Provide guidance on incident investigations, corrective actions, injury management and return‑to‑work processes.
• Analyse health‑safety data and trends to drive continuous improvement and reporting.

Required profile

• Highly credible, relationship‑driven professional with a passion for people, safety and leadership.
• Proven ability to influence and enable operational teams to take ownership of health and safety.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience interpreting safety data and trends.
