Head of Platform

About the role

Partly is building the world’s first global platform for replacement parts. As Head of Platform you will own the internal platform that powers rapid product delivery, reliability, and security across the company. You will treat the platform as an internal product, shaping strategy, driving adoption, and partnering with engineering and business teams to scale speed, uptime, and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead the Platform function, including SRE, DevEx, Infrastructure, and Security enablement.
• Define a clear roadmap, establish ways of working, hire and grow the team, and manage prioritisation trade‑offs.
• Create the default developer experience: service templates, CI/CD pipelines, environment provisioning, secrets/config management, deployment patterns, and feature‑flag systems.
• Own reliability foundations: observability (metrics, logs, traces), alerting standards, incident response, and post‑mortem processes.
• Develop specialised infrastructure for ML/AI capabilities such as GPU compute, model training, serving, and inference cost optimisation.
• Partner with product and engineering leaders to improve delivery speed, uptime, and cost efficiency as the company scales.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience building and scaling platform or SRE teams in fast‑growing technology companies.
• Strong strategic mindset with a track record of setting roadmaps and driving cross‑functional adoption.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
