About the role
We are seeking a Head of Creative Strategy to lead the creative engine behind large‑scale paid media for high‑growth consumer brands in New Zealand. This senior leadership position sits at the crossroads of performance marketing, creative systems, and creator‑driven growth, driving measurable business results.
Key responsibilities
- Define and own the overall creative strategy and performance standards across a diverse portfolio of consumer brand clients.
- Build, refine, and operationalise creative frameworks, playbooks and SOPs based on insights from Meta, TikTok and other paid‑social channels.
- Lead and develop a team of performance creative strategists, improving their ability to diagnose issues and create high‑converting concepts.
- Oversee end‑to‑end creative production, ensuring speed, quality and scalability.
- Partner with creator and talent teams to align briefing, production and paid‑media execution.
- Own creative onboarding for new clients, delivering early performance wins within the first 30 days.
- Act as senior creative authority in client conversations, presenting insights, analysis and strategic recommendations.
- Continuously analyse performance trends to identify optimisation and scaling opportunities.
Required profile
- 7+ years of experience in performance creative, preferably in a fast‑paced agency environment.
- Proven track record of driving measurable outcomes such as higher conversion rates, lower CPA or revenue growth.
- Deep expertise in direct‑response marketing and paid‑social creative performance on Meta and TikTok.
- Strong leadership, mentoring and team‑building abilities.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills.
