General Manager – People & Culture

About the role

Rockit Global is seeking a commercially‑minded General Manager for People & Culture to drive its three‑year turnaround and global growth plan. Based in Hawke's Bay, you will join the senior leadership team and work closely with the CEO to shape people strategy across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide meaningful people insights to the Board and support governance‑level decisions.
• Lead a team of five, establishing rhythm, best practices and adaptive ways of working.
• Partner with the CEO to uplift capability and translate strategic objectives into people initiatives.
• Influence enterprise‑wide people decisions from the pack house to the Board table.
• Drive change leadership across structure shifts, cost pressures and competing priorities.

Required profile

• Proven track record leading senior People & Culture portfolios in fast‑moving, complex organisations.
• Experience with a global remit, ideally with Asia as a key stakeholder.
• Strong critical thinking and commercial acumen, able to challenge assumptions with humility.
• Demonstrated change‑leadership capability and a relationship‑first approach.
• Strategic mindset combined with hands‑on pragmatism and a passion for AI‑enabled people analytics.
