General Maintenance Support

About the role

Ka Puta Ka Ora Emerge Aotearoa is a national provider of mental health, addiction, disability, offender rehabilitation, wellbeing and housing services. This is a permanent full-time, hands-on role within its Housing team, working Monday to Friday in Hamilton. You will help keep homes safe, welcoming and ready for people to thrive, from preparing properties for new tenants and carrying out maintenance to supporting tenancy operations and working alongside contractors.

Required profile

• Previous experience in cleaning, property maintenance, facilities, handyman services, housing support or a related field
• A practical, hands-on approach to minor repairs, maintenance and property upkeep
• Experience working with people experiencing mental health challenges, addiction, disability or other complex needs (desirable)
• Physically fit, comfortable with manual handling, lifting, assembling furniture and moving household items
• Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to support the wider team
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a diverse range of people
• Full, clean New Zealand driver's licence and legal right to work in New Zealand
• Current First Aid Certificate including CPR, or willingness to obtain one

• Salary range of $57,311.61 - $64,646.41 depending on years of relevant experience
