General Engineer – Hybrid Role in Te Awamutu

About the role

Edwards Engineering Services Ltd is seeking a General Engineer to join its Te Awamutu team. This full‑time hybrid position combines on‑site work with occasional remote days, offering flexibility while supporting a wide range of engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform machining and CNC profile cutting tasks to meet client specifications.
• Design, develop, and implement structural engineering projects.
• Carry out on‑site repairs and maintenance across various equipment and structures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while adhering to industry safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in general engineering, CNC profile cutting, and machining.
• Experience with structural engineering design and implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct on‑site repairs and maintenance.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and knowledge of safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Familiarity with CAD software is a plus.
• Previous experience in a hybrid work environment is advantageous.
