Foodstuffs Account Manager & Sales Support

About the role

This permanent position is based in Auckland within Essity’s Personal Care New Zealand team. The role is split evenly between account management for Foodstuffs North Island and sales/operational support for Foodstuffs South Island, driving commercial success and end‑to‑end customer excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with Foodstuffs North Island stakeholders.
• Support joint business planning, category reviews and customer initiatives.
• Develop and manage customer plans, forecasts and promotional activity.
• Monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver actionable insights.
• Analyse market and sales data to inform decision‑making and internal reporting.
• Communicate updates, initiatives and performance insights across teams.
• Manage daily Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) orders for Foodstuffs South Island and ensure seamless supply‑chain coordination.
• Partner with logistics, finance and marketing to optimise service levels.
• Support invoicing, accrual processes and aged debtor management for Foodstuffs South Island.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of account management experience, preferably in FMCG.
• Proven experience in customer planning, negotiation and data analysis.
• Strong commercial acumen and customer focus.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Resilient, high‑energy professional with composure under pressure.
