Fleet Operations Engineer

About the role

As a Fleet Operations Engineer at Halter, you will work at the intersection of hardware operations, engineering and customer impact to create the systems, tooling and workflows that enable farmers to manage their fleets more efficiently and faster.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain hardware‑focused operational systems for agricultural fleets.
• Build and optimise tooling and automated workflows that improve farmer productivity.
• Collaborate directly with farming customers to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Monitor fleet performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure reliable on‑site support.
• Document processes and contribute to continuous improvement of operational practices.

Required profile

• Strong engineering mindset with experience in hardware operations.
• Ability to work on‑site in Auckland CBD and engage with customers directly.
• Passion for agricultural technology and improving farmer outcomes.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
