Fleet Officer

About the role

Tiaki Wai is seeking a proactive Fleet Officer to manage and optimise its diverse vehicle fleet that supports critical water services across the Wellington region. This full‑time position is based in Petone, Lower Hutt and offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate routine servicing, maintenance, registrations, RUC and WOF/COF compliance for all fleet assets.
• Monitor fleet utilisation, compliance and operational performance to ensure cost‑effective service delivery.
• Maintain accurate fleet records, reporting, insurance documentation and financial files.
• Support procurement, leasing, replacement and disposal activities for vehicles.
• Build and sustain effective relationships with suppliers, service providers and internal fleet users.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, transport coordination or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of transport compliance, health and safety regulations and vehicle registration requirements.
• Demonstrated ability in administration, reporting and record‑keeping.
• Excellent stakeholder relationship and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Full Class 1 driver’s licence (essential).
