Executive Director – Resources, Energy & Infrastructure (Institutional Relationships)

About the role

The Executive Director will lead ANZ’s relationships with New Zealand’s largest institutional customers in the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors. This senior position drives sustainable business growth while connecting clients to the bank’s full suite of corporate finance, markets, sustainable finance and transaction banking capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deepen ANZ’s relationships with New Zealand’s largest institutional customers in the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors.
• Identify and originate strategic opportunities that support customers’ investment, transformation and growth initiatives.
• Provide executive‑level insight and connect clients with ANZ’s corporate finance, markets, sustainable finance and transaction banking capabilities.
• Collaborate across the Institutional division to structure complex solutions and manage portfolio risk.
• Represent ANZ in industry forums related to the energy transition and critical infrastructure development.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in institutional banking and deep knowledge of the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record of building and managing senior‑level client relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive sustainable business growth.
• Excellent stakeholder management and the capacity to navigate complex, multi‑disciplinary projects.
