Employment Consultant – Wellington

About the role

We are looking for an Employment Consultant to join our vibrant Wellington team. You will work with clients referred from Work and Income, guiding them onto work‑first pathways that lead to financial independence and better lives.

Key responsibilities

• Meet and build trust with jobseekers, understanding their stories, goals and strengths.
• Create and maintain connections with local employers, government agencies, disability support providers and training organisations.
• Identify suitable work opportunities and match jobseekers to roles aligned with their experience.
• Assess training needs, coordinate short‑course certifications and support upskilling.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with Work and Income partners.

Required profile

• Current full NZ driver’s licence (company vehicle provided).
• Experience in customer service, recruitment, sales, social services or related fields.
• Self‑driven, entrepreneurial mindset with grit and resilience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to inspire confidence.
