Electrical Designer – Rotorua

About the role

Based in Rotorua, the Designer will create, cost and support a variety of electrical distribution projects, both overhead and underground, ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for power, civil and vegetation services.
• Prepare cost estimates and technical specifications for distribution projects.
• Provide technical support throughout project delivery, ensuring compliance and safety.
• Liaise with stakeholders to define project scope and methodology.
• Contribute to works methodology and support on‑site delivery teams.

Required profile

• Pragmatic and open‑minded with a background in the electrical sector.
• Design experience in distribution or a related electrical environment is desirable.
• Alternatively, experience as a Line Mechanic, Electrical Fitter or Project Coordinator with a genuine interest in design.
• Relevant electrical qualification and strong attention to detail.
