Customer & Operations Consultant (Part-Time)

About the role

Avis Budget Group is hiring a part-time Rental Operations Agent based at its Greymouth Railway Station. The role covers both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, working 20 hours per week on a fixed roster, seven days a week from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm, including one day per weekend (Saturday or Sunday). It is an entry-level position with training provided.

Key responsibilities

• On the counter: interact with customers, market products and services, complete rental transactions, contracts and bookings.
• Inspect vehicles for damage and maintenance issues.
• Drive and park cars, and clean them inside and out in the wash bay so they are ready for customers.

Required profile

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver's licence (essential).
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, customer service or a similar role.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service.
• Comfortable learning and using various computer systems to enter rental information (training provided).
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.
