Customer Liaison Consultant (Fixed‑Term) – Rotorua

About the role

As the first point of contact for members and visitors at the AA centre in Rotorua, you will welcome guests, understand their needs and guide them through simple enquiries and NZTA/Waka Kotahi processes. This full‑time fixed‑term position runs until February 2027 and focuses on creating a smooth, friendly experience for all customers.

Key responsibilities

• Greet members and visitors, identify the purpose of their visit and provide initial assistance.
• Direct customers to the appropriate service counters and manage the flow of foot traffic.
• Handle straightforward queries and support NZTA/Waka Kotahi related procedures.
• Monitor and manage queues to ensure minimal waiting times.
• Maintain a tidy, welcoming reception area.

Required profile

• Calm, confident demeanor with the ability to de‑escalate tense situations.
• Previous experience in a customer‑service or concierge environment.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of interacting with customers.
• Team‑oriented mindset.
• Prior security experience is highly regarded.
