Customer Account Manager – Christchurch

About the role

Motion, a leading provider of industrial products and engineering services across the Asia‑Pacific, is seeking a Customer Account Manager for its Christchurch territory. The role combines autonomous sales and account management, focusing on growing key accounts and delivering premium service to industrial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan in partnership with the Motion network.
• Prospect new business opportunities and collaborate with other business units to maximise existing accounts.
• Manage a portfolio of customers, ensuring high‑quality service and relationship maintenance.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the team, including customer service tasks as needed.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities with existing customers.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years experience in solution‑selling industrial products and services.
• Proven ability to identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and curiosity.
• Comfortable working with blue‑collar, construction and industrial stakeholders.
• Team‑player attitude.
