Control Systems Deployment Engineer

About the role

As a Control Systems Deployment Engineer at Fonterra, you will lead the planning and coordination of automation system deployments across the company’s manufacturing sites. You will help develop technology, methodologies and training to support a highly automated, data‑driven production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute the rollout of control system solutions nationwide.
• Develop, implement and maintain control system lifecycles from a corporate perspective.
• Integrate automation solutions with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), MOM and shop‑floor equipment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful delivery of the base automation project.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting to resolve issues quickly.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Control Systems Engineer in process automation.
• Strong background in PLC programming and HMI development.
• Familiarity with MES, historians and data traceability concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and lead projects.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a collaborative, approachable attitude.
