Contractor Project Manager

About the role

The Contractor Project Manager will lead the planning, execution and monitoring of clinical research projects, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with regulatory standards. This role acts as the main liaison between sponsors, internal teams and external vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for study sponsors and manage all sponsor communications.
• Lead cross‑functional team leaders, third‑party vendors and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Oversee contractual deliverables, milestone payments and insurance qualifications.
• Control project scope, schedule and costs to mitigate financial risk.
• Enforce company SOPs, policies and guidelines at the project level.
• Ensure compliance with Tigermed systems such as CTMS and OA eTMF, escalating issues as needed.
• Participate in bid defense processes and provide training to project team members.
• Provide performance feedback to line managers for project staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacology, Biology or related field (college diploma acceptable with strong experience).
• Minimum 10 years industry experience, including at least 6 years in AUS project management; CRO experience preferred.
• Current GCP certification and solid knowledge of drug development regulations.
• Proven ability to manage large, complex clinical projects and budgets.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite.
• Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) usage.
• OA eTMF system proficiency.
• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification.
