Company Accountant – Medical Devices Distributor

About the role

Toomac, part of the Bunzl Group, is seeking a proactive Company Accountant to join its growing finance team in the North Shore region of New Zealand. You will manage the general ledger, support month‑end processes and contribute to financial reporting for a leading medical‑devices distributor.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts receivable, accounts payable and credit control transactions.
• Prepare monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations and working‑capital reports, including cash forecasting.
• Calculate and post pre‑payments, accruals and other month‑end journal entries.
• Produce monthly management accounts with P/L and B/S analysis and variance commentary for Bunzl APAC.
• Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting and the preparation of statutory accounts.
• Complete and lodge GST and Fringe Benefits tax returns.
• Support external audit activities by providing accurate workpapers and responding to queries.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline.
• CPA/CA qualification (or in progress) with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical mindset, self‑motivation and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
