Community Occupational Therapist Contractor

About the role

Geneva Wellbeing is looking for a registered Occupational Therapist to join its community-based team in Christchurch and the surrounding Canterbury areas. The role works across ACC contracts, including HCS, SRNA, Concussion and Training for Independence, supporting clients with orthopaedic, neurological and other injuries. It is a contracting opportunity with flexible hours set around referrals.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients across ACC contracts (HCS, SRNA, Concussion, Training for Independence)
• Work with clients who have orthopaedic, neurological and other injuries
• Work independently day to day within a multidisciplinary team, with monthly team meetings and support from the Team Leader and Referral Coordinator

Required profile

• New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapist with current registration and a current APC
• Experience across ACC contracts (HCS, SRNA, Concussion, Training for Independence)
• Community rehabilitation experience with orthopaedic, neurological and other injuries
• ACC provider number and registration with Enable
• Current First Aid certificate
• Ability to travel across Christchurch and the surrounding Canterbury areas
• NZ resident or citizen, or a valid NZ work permit

Required skills

• Strong time management and report writing skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication skills
