Commercial Manager – Business Lending

About the role

Kiwibank is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join its Business Advisor channel in Wellington. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality credit decisions across home loans, personal lending, and business/commercial applications, using delegated lending authority to create sustainable financing solutions for Kiwi businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and approve credit applications for home, personal, and commercial loans.
• Partner with Business Advisors and internal stakeholders to structure tailored lending solutions.
• Maintain a consistent flow of quality lending outcomes while balancing risk and opportunity.
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with financial legislation and banking regulations.

Required profile

• Strong practical experience in credit analysis and risk assessment, especially in business and commercial lending.
• Proven relationship‑management abilities with a focus on client growth.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
• Solid understanding of banking legislation and compliance requirements.
