Commercial Finance Manager – NZ Market

About the role

This position leads the commercial finance function for the New Zealand market within a global FMCG group. Reporting to senior commercial finance leadership, you will partner closely with the Managing Director and senior sales leaders to shape and execute the commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Own annual planning, budgeting and forecasting for sales, trade spend and investment.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to drive commercial decisions, improve performance and meet growth targets.
• Manage trade spend, ensuring robust controls, ROI focus and alignment across teams.
• Provide clear analysis of business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive corrective actions.
• Support pricing, promotional strategy and revenue‑growth initiatives to maximise returns.
• Develop and embed robust processes for planning, reporting and performance management in line with ANZ standards.
• Lead, develop and mentor a small finance team, fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Significant commercial finance experience, preferably in a large‑scale FMCG or consumer business.
• Strong understanding of trade spend, pricing and revenue‑growth management.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.
